Mold Remediation in Commercial Building
SERVPRO of Guadalupe and Gonzales remediated mold in an office space near Seguin. In this case the mold was caused by a pipe leaking in the wall. As you can see in the before picture, the mold had spread over a relatively large area of drywall. The area was put into containment, the flooring covered, and the affected drywall was removed. After containment was set and drywall had been removed, our technicians used HEPA vacuums to clean any remaining areas where the mold was visible. The area was then sprayed with a mold killing encapsulant (as pictured in the after picture) to prevent any future growth. Once this was done air scrubbers are used to scrub the air for two days. This helps to rid the air of any residual mold spores before clearance testing is done. Clearance testing is done to see if any mold spores remain in the area and helps determine if any additional work needs to be performed. When the testing has passed the containment can be removed and rebuild can begin.
