Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Have you checked for leaks lately?

This property owner went for a walk through after some tenants moved out.  He smelled an strange odor when they first entered the home.  Upon entering the bathroom, the odor was very strong.  The owners called SERVPRO of Guadalupe & Gonzales Counties when they discovered mold growing in the bathroom.   The technicians demolished the bathroom, removing all the drywall, insulation, and even the bathtub exposing the studs in the wall and all plumbing pipes (the before picture). The area was then sprayed with a mold killing encapsulant (as pictured in the after picture) to prevent any future growth.  Once this was done air scrubbers are used to scrub the air for two days.  This helps to rid the air of any residual mold spores before clearance testing is done. Clearance testing is done to see if any mold spores remain in the area and helps determine if any additional work needs to be performed. When the testing has passed the containment can be removed and rebuild can begin.
